The movie “The Planters Plantation” has become the first ever Cameroonian movie to picked up a nomination for an AMVCA (Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards).
The movie picked up the nomination in the category of Best Actress in a Drama or TV Series.
Actress Nimo Loveline who starred in the movie (The Planters Plantation) was nominated in the category, becoming the first ever Cameroonian actor to be nominated for an AMVCA.


The nominations were revealed on Sunday, April 16 on the Africa Magic channels.
Since the inception of the AMVCA in 2013, no Cameroonian movie has ever gotten a nomination for the annual award.
The Planter’s plantation is thus the face and movie makers and movie lovers in Cameroon are hopeful that this will open even more doors for their already blossoming movie industry.
The Planter’s Plantation is directed by Eystein Young and stars Nigerian legendary Actor, Nkem Owoh, Cameroonian movie stars, Stephanie Tum, Mami Dona, Syriette Che, Nimo Loveline, Mbeng Lilian, Lovert Lambe, Loic Sumfor and more.


The 9th edition of the AMVCA will hold on May 20, 2023 in Lagos, Nigeria.
