Football fans in Cameroon woke up this Sunday morning to learn of the shocking demise of Cameroonian Legendary shot keeper, Alioum Boukar on several blogs and other news organs.
But after further investigations, it has been revealed that the two-time AFCON winner (2000 and 2002) is alive and in good shape. It is not clear where the fake news originated from but it quickly became a major trend on most sites.

According to recent reports, Alioum Boukar who is currently the goalkeeper trainer of the indomitable lions of Cameroon only had an emotional shock and has regained consciousness. He is not dead!
Alioum Boukar is a Cameroonian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for several clubs, including Canon Yaoundé, Samsunspor, and Istanbulspor, both in Turkey. He played for Cameroon national football team and was and took the team to the 1998 FIFA World Cup and the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
The 49-year-old was part of the Indomitable Lions squads that brought home the prestigious AFCON trophy in 2000 and 2002.
