The Chairman of the Social Democratic Front, Ni John Fru Ndi is death.
The popular Political figure died on June 12, 2023, at 81, in Yaounde, where he was receiving treatment, after a protracted illness.
Fru Ndi has led the SDF since its inception in 1990. After dropping from the Presidential race in 2018, he announced recently that he will leave the party leadership in the next Congress.
“I have played my part, it is time for me to rest.” These were the last words of Ni John Fru Ndi, to his family, party members and close collaborators before his demise last night.
The Leader of Cameroon’s Strongest opposition party returned to Cameroon three days ago from Switzerland, where he was being treated for a protracted illness.
