Cristiano Ronaldo’s achievement of reaching 200 international caps for Portugal has been recognized and honoured by Guinness World Records.

Ronaldo who also plays for Al-Nassr, reached milestone during Portugal’s Euro 2024 Qualifiers match against Iceland on Tuesday, June 20.

As a tribute to his mindblowing and historic accomplishment, Ronaldo was presented with an official certificate by Guinness World Records, recognising him as a record holder.

In addition, Ronaldo received a Portugal shirt adorned with the number “200” printed on the back to symbolize his record-breaking caps.

Despite this historic achievement, the 38-year-old, who also holds the title of Portugal’s all-time leading scorer, has said he has no intentions of retiring from international football anytime soon. He has in fact reaffirmed his commitment to continue making an impact on the international football stage.

This is the second time Ronaldo has been honoured by the organisation after he became the highest top scorer in international football in 2021.
