Rigobert Song Appointed Coach Of Cameroon National Team

Former Captain of the Indomitable Lions Rigobert Song Bahanag has been appointed Coach of the Cameroon National Team.

Following instructions from the President of Cameroon, Paul Biya, a press release signed by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, has announced Song as the new Manager of the team.

He replaces the Portuguese tactician  António Conceição da Silva Oliveira who helped Cameroon grab a bronze at the TotalEnergies AFCON 2021 played in 2022 in Cameroon.

Song’s first major task would be to qualify the Indomitable Lions for the World Cup in Qatar this 2022. The Lions will face the Cottage Eagles of Algeria this March in a doubleheader to determine who qualifies for Qatar 2022.
