Real Madrid attacker and winger Eden Hazard despite his moody turnout seasons in Real Madrid is reportedly ready to make a stunning return to Chelsea.
Fresh news in the blues den says Hazard will make a comeback to Stanford bridge anytime soon.
Reports say intermediaries from the west London club are on the way to arrange the return of their playmaker after his two years’ stay in Madrid.
Hazard signed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 for a fee of €100million in what was perceived as Real Madrid’s attempt to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo, who departed for Juventus.
2 years later, the Belgian has been struggling to live up to his old price tag after having poor seasons in Laliga coupled with multiple injuries.
Spanish newspaper AS, as cited in Metro, now claim Real Madrid might be ready to cut their losses and ship Hazard back to Chelsea for a cut-price of €60m.
Hazard since his arrival at Madrid has had 30 appearances scoring just six goals. His transfer wage may be low but he earns more than any Chelsea player as he makes £400,000-a-week.
Hazard still has three years left on his current Real Madrid deal and this would make it difficult for him to negotiate a wage cut at Chelsea. Regardless, Hazard is a loved figure at Chelsea, having won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, League cup, and Europa League twice in his time at Stamford Bridge.
