Cameroonian Singer and Producer Chobodo I.V.O has taken to social media to tell the story of how Cameroonian Rapper, Maahlox stole his royalties for the hit song “Ca Sort Comme Ca Sort”.

I.V.O says be produced the song and as expected the proceeds are to be shared 50:50 between the Singer and Producer. However, Maahlox has consumed all the millions the song made alone.

According to him, he has decided not to be silent anymore and it is high time Cameroonians knew Maahlox is a danger to the development of Cameroonian music.

Remember, Maahlox has been in the news lately shading Stanley Enow and exchanging blows with Jovi.

Maahlox

Here is the full write up from I.V.O:

“At that time we were working in unison to make ourselves the greats of Cameroonian music. All young naive I was fresh out of Buea. We had no problem as we created one of the biggest hits in this country

I take you to witness my Cameroonian people on who is the composer (producer) of this song, a track that no one can ignore the fact that it is signed with my imprint (𝐈.𝐕.𝐎).

Maahlox who wants to be snow white, he who proclaims his honesty, he who is good and the others are bad, he who defends other artists .
He teamed up at that time with 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐔 𝐄𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐄́ who had come out of nowhere and suddenly became his manager. This song was declared to SACEM (copyright society in France) by these two.

& on it,they said Jean Jules.. 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐡𝐥𝐨𝐱 is the composer ( producer)curiously !!, why grab the rights of others? We had no problems at that time!! Except that you decided to be dishonest, and mean.

As a reminder 50% of the productivity of a work goes to the author and 50% goes to the composer ( producer)
I leave it to you to imagine how many millions this song could have produced

And this Maahlox has the courage to taunt me and other Cameroonian artists with a story of a car, a house, he beats his chest that he worked to get that he worked more than who?? With whose Royalties ?

You know well that no other song could or has produce greatness at the level of “𝐜̧𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞 𝐜̧𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 . ” for no reason you consumed the 50% that was rightfully mine and did that for almost 10 years today.

Kenfack I don’t need to look for visibility on you since this visibility that you have today I am responsible for a very large percentage of it as the producer/author of many of your songs.(𝐜a 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞 𝐜 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐫, 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐧,.) These are a few of your biggest songs of which I am the composer (producer)

I just decided not to be silent anymore and Cameroonians will know that you are manipulative, dishonest & a real danger for the musical development of this country.

I also know that many artists have been in this situation and many are afraid and ashamed to talk about it but life teaches us every day I would like you, my dear grand, to remain relevant, you will pass me by. As a composer you know who I am but as an author you will see me pass.”
