Our Man or Woman crush for the month spotlights and celebrates an individual in the Showbiz industry who stood out and excelled exceptionally in their craft that month.

And for March 2023, our Man Crush is the Incredible Serial Hit Maker Ko-C.

That of course, should not be surprising to most of our readers as Ko-C was in deed exceptional this month.

And why is that? Top on the list is his debut album, “GENESIS”. The much anticipated 16-track album was released on March 10 and has collaborations with Falz, Sarkodie, InnossB, Kameni, Victor AD, Longue Longue, Awu and AV.

And Ko-C was very strategic about the release as he had organized a press conference on the eve, was at media houses and had even stepped down the album price from 5,000frs to just 1,000frs.

In less than 24 hours, Genesis had already hit 100,000+ streams across all platforms. The album also reached #2 position on most trending albums on Boomplay and Apple Music.

And even with all the success the album “Genesis” was recording, Ko-C did not stop, he took the album to the streets of Douala to meet even the regular people on the streets who are hardly on social media. And of course, his fans were behind him.

In March, Ko-C equally stood out when it came to securing endorsement deals. In early March, it was revealed that the contract Ko-C had signed with Orange Cameroun was worth 50 million FCFA. Orange used the phrase “Plenty Money” from Ko-C’s hit track, “Quand J’aurais L’argent” for their promotional campaigns and ads.

The singer and rapper also secured a deal with French based Music Company, Believe Africa for the distribution of his Genesis album.

Ko-C also linked up with top Nigerian rapper, Falz, for the shooting of the video of “Family Problem,” a song he had collaborated with the fellow rapper on. And was equally in Nigeria to promote “Genesis” with Falz, Victor AD and AV.

And what about awards? On March 19, Ko-C won Best Male Act at the Cameroon Music Evolution Awards, ahead of Locko, Tzy Panchak, Tenor and Mic Monsta.

And Ko-C songs were some of the most trending songs in March, including “Deux Ouefs Spaghetti”, with fans and other entertainers using it for social media videos and trends, “Quand J’aurais L’argent”, “Family Problem” and of course, his collaboration with Fadil Le Sorcier, “Lande.”

And to towards the end of March, Ko-C announced his “Genesis” album World tour which will start in June and end in December. The tour will take him through the US, Canada, UK, and the rest Africa.

Through out March, Ko-C has been consistent with his music, he has been consistent on the media, he has won awards, he has secured endorsement deals, released one of the biggest albums in the last decade and of course, he has been top notch with his looks too. So he is our Man Crush for March 2023.
