Jovi and Dr. Nkeng Stephens Clash at Jonnie Walker advert shoot;
Jovi Replaced Stanley Enow On the Project because Stanley rejected the amount offered
Cameroonian star rapper Jovi and ace video director Dr. Nkeng Stephens had a severe confrontation during the shoot of the Jonnie Walker Advert.
Recall that Jovi, Dr. Nkeng, Syndy Emade and a few other Cameroonian celebrities recently bagged ambassadorial deals with the renowned brand, Jonnie Walker.
During the video shoot, Jovi and Dr. Nkeng who have had some old scores in the past clashed as old wounds were apparently opened.
Dr. Nkeng came with some bouncers while Jovi came with his Gees. There was some tension in the atmosphere and Jovi’s men and Dr. Nkeng’s men also got physical.
It was impossible for both Jovi and Dr. Nkeng to shoot in the same place; their shoots had to be done separately to avoid them getting physical.
Jovi and Dr. Nkeng also refused to eat the food that was given to them due to the clash.
Jovi was paid 45 million FCFA for the project while others were paid just 1 million FCFA each. Dr. Nkeng had the second-highest amount after Jovi but we really can’t confirm how much exactly.
Stanley Enow was initially contacted for the Jonnie Walker project and the amount proposed was 50 million. However, Stanley wanted 55 million and since the brand couldn’t give him that much, he walked away. Jovi was then contacted and given 45 million.
