John Okafor, Popularly Known as Mr Ibu, Critically Sick
Popular Nigerian actor and comedian, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, is currently critically ill in an unnamed hospital in Lagos, Nigeria. The news of his illness was first made public by his daughter, Jasmine Okafor, on her Instagram page on October 19, 2023.
According to Jasmine, her father has been in the hospital for two weeks and his condition has been deteriorating. She appealed to fans and well-wishers to pray for her father and also to donate financially to help cover his medical expenses.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Mr Ibu himself confirmed that he is indeed critically sick. He said that the doctors have recommended the amputation of his legs, but he begged his fans to help him avoid this fate.
