
Intermediate Lion Dismissed For Indiscipline After Cameroon Suffered A Humiliating Defeat Against Morocco
Nkafu 237 | 05.02.2021 | 0 | 237 INSIDER with Kampii , SportsCameroon’s Intermediate Lion, Yanick Ndjeng has been dismissed by the team Coach for insubordination, hours after the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat against defending Champions, Atlas Lions of Morocco at a CHAN 2021 semi-final match in Limbe on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
During the match, Yanick Njeng was seen exchanging words with the Deputy coach of the team, David Pagou, in a “not so friendly” manner for substituting him during the game. Yannick was only prevented from getting into a physical fight with the Deputy Coach by his teammates.
According to a communique that was shared on the Facebook page of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Ndjeng has been dismissed for characterized indiscipline.
The release reads: “The public is by this release informed that Yannick Njeng player of the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon has been excluded from the team currently taking part in the ongoing #TOTALCHAN2020 for characterized indiscipline.”
According to reports, Yannick has exhibited several other acts of indiscipline and disrespect.
The Intermediate Lions of Cameroon lost their semi-final match to CHAN defending champions, Morocco at the Limbe Centenary stadium. They will play the third-place match against Guinea Conakry and they will be hoping to win a bronze medal at the tournament.
