Nigerian Afro-fusion superstar, Burna Boy, recently in a tweet declared that he is not a Nigerian artist. “I’m Not A Nigerian Artist” Burna Boy
According to the Grammy Award-winning singer, he is not a Nigerian artist because he does not make his money from Nigeria. Burna Boy was actually responding to a twitter user @Denzel_042 who tweeted: “Burna boy go soon leave twitter NG for una.” In reaction, Burna Boy said he is not even a Nigerian artist to begin with.
“Me wey no even be Nigerian artist.“
In reaction to his tweet, some fans called out the “On the low” crooner for denying his motherland though he is a promoter of the African culture. A fan wrote:
“But you dey promote African culture but you dey deny your own motherland, all na showbiz as usual lmao.”
In response to the fan, Burna boy reiterated that he is not a Nigerian artist because he doesn’t make his money from Nigerian but he is from Nigeria and live there because he loves home and his people.
