The Head Coach of the Indomitable lions, Rigobert Song, has stressed that he believe he has achieved the objectives he was given as Head Coach of the team.
Speaking during a press conference to reveal the 24 players to play in two crucial world cup Qualifiers this November, Song said his goals were to qualify the country for the world cup and the AFCON.
To critics who say the team performance in recent matches has been poor, especially, regarding the defeat from Senegal and Russia in friendlies, the Coach’s response is simple:
“I have achieved my goals which were to qualify the country for the world cup and the African Cup of All Nations (AFCON)…I wasn’t asked to win friendlies. I now know the players I will take along to Ivory Coast in January” Rigobert Song
