The Turkish premier league has launched an investigation against a match fixed between Former Besiktas player Vincent Aboubakar and Hatayasport player clade Bilong.
In a match between the two teams that ended 7 nil in favor of Besiktas, it is said that Aboubakar convinced Claude to play badly or help Besiktas win and in return, Aboubakar was to help Claude be called to the national team. By halftime, Claude Billong club faced 5 nil defeat, and Claude was replaced because he played terribly. Claude was later called up for international duty in Cameroon, which confirmed the speculations.
Even without the verdict of the Investigation, the President of Hatayspor Nihat Tazearslan has ordered that Claude Billong’s contract with the team be terminated.
The allegations are still being investigated though decisions have already been made, especially on Claude Bilong Club site. No statements have come from the accused.
Vincent Aboubakar may be able to escape the consequences that arise from these allegations since he is now signed to a Saudi Arabian club El Nasscr FC and is paid 4 billion frs yearly.
