Firstly, Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa with over 200 million people and also one of the African countries with the most Netflix subscribers. This means millions of Nigerians most have watched the movie for it to get to #1 spot and this is definitely good for the movie.
Secondly, Nigeria is the biggest and of course, #1 movie-making country in Africa. So for “Therapy” to beat all the best movies from Nigeria on NetflixNaija and become #1, it means the movie is indeed top-notch. The makers of “Therapy” must have put in a lot of work to produce a movie that meets the need of home consumers and global movie-loving audiences.
This only goes to show that great movies are made in Cameroon. Gone are the days when Cameroonians could only sit back and watch Nollywood and Hollywood movies. Now they can watch and enjoy fascinating movies from home. This is definitely a big win for the cast and crew of Therapy, the movie industry, and Cameroonians as a whole.
