Cameroonian rapper, Askia Karin has taken to social media to tender a public apology to her fans after she got slammed by some of them for advertising entry tickets for the CHAN (African Nations Championship) semifinal match between Cameroon and Morocco.

Askia had made a post earlier on February 3, 2021,  telling her fans to contact her for tickets to watch the CHAN semifinal match that was played later that day at the Limbe Centenary Stadium. Askia added that the match would definitely be a must-watch and it was important for fans to purchase their tickets on time since just 5000 spectators would be allowed into the 20,000 capacity stadium as a result of CAF (Confederation of African Football) Covid-19 restrictions.

However, that post didn’t sit well with some of her fans and others who are not in support of Cameroon and the South West region in particular hosting the 2021 CHAN tournament. Askia’s post did not only attract insults from some of these people but also threats to the rapper’s life as well. That of course made Askia backpedal. She started by taking off the post and went on to apologize, stressing that she was only trying to hustle money for her daughter, Nairobi.

“Forgive me please. Didn’t know posting tickets will offend my Askians. I’m just hustling money for my kid. Post deleted. Abeg wuna no vex,” Askia wrote on Facebook.
