26 years-old Mexican Andreas Meza has been crowned 2020 Miss Universe Hosted in USA Florida.
The Mexican beauty finished ahead of Brazillian and Peruvian finalists in the 69th installment of miss universe.
Despite Meza being a model, she stands out as a software engineer in her home country and has a degree in engineering, she brats Miss Brazill to get the crown on Sunday pageant night in Florida.
The event was hosted by Hollywood actress Mario Lopez and Hollywood actor, model Olivia Culpo the 2012 Miss universe.The Miss Universe competition airs in more than 160 territories and countries across the globe including in the U.S on the FYI channel and on Telemundo.
Previous winner Zozibini Tunzi fit the crown on Meza’s head and waited to make sure it would stay in place as Meza beamed and took her first walk to the front of the stage.
What caught the eyes and mouths of many was the presentation done by Miss Mynmar who made it to the top 21 miss universe contestans. Miss mynmar presented the ongoing war in her country.
“Our people are dying and being shot by the military every day,” she said during her biographical video, which showed photos of her taking part in the anti-coup protests. “Therefore I would like to urge everyone to speak out about Myanmar.”
She also won the award for the best national costume: during that competition segment on Thursday, she wore an outfit beaded in traditional Burmese patterns and held up a sign that said, “Pray for Myanmar.“
